That is what I was going for... the inability to move the f-pawn to further support the e-pawn may work out to my benefit. The trick for me will be securing a safe position while doing so, and getting to it before you have enough time to defend. 7... e6 is my move. The pressure may not build fast enough for me, but I am hopeful. The knights being positioned towards e5 without being jostled will be the hardest part, and I must also be careful not to let e6 fall after e5 is cleared (if it becomes cleared.)

It looks as if you are going to be able to defend the pressure, but I think I have some slight initiative here... I went over some lines and it looks as if much of the pressure will end up over on the queenside. I must be cautious not to over-extend and lose through a central attack while pushing the wing. This game seems to have more interesting placement of pieces than many games do - so I am pleased of this. I think it is completely even so far, and most likely will remain so for some time. I hope we get further into the endgame lines with this one (would be interesting to see how a correspondence endgame ensues).

I was just going to castle but now I think I will play the more aggressive move of 8. Ng5.

My internet has been down for the past couple of days, so I haven't had the opportunity to continue the game until now. Anyway - I was busy doing other things and when I finally got to looking at the game: the tactic of Bxe5 sprang to mind - in hopes that it would win me a pawn, but after Bxe5: my rook is in danger - so I couldn't play that. I then considered Qb3 lines and decided that with good play: I wouldn't help myself, but delay developing my king-safety and allow you to build more pieces in the center after castling and bringing your rook to e1 etc... so then I considered Nd7, which leaves e6 undefended now after you played Ng5. I finally stumbled upon the move I decided that I would play: which is Nh6. It seems awkward, and it will be some time until I can get my pieces to where I need them to be in order to build the correct pressure, but this move seems to be the best one for me at this time. I could be wrong. Anyway - that is my move: 8... Nh6.

I am going to try to bounce back from this one anyway... I looked at a few nice lines (for you) lol - and chose the one that seems to give me the most chance at making up for the loss. Wish me luck! (Nf5 is my move.)

I think Ng5 was the better continuation for you, because I think you may have lost the advantage gained by allowing my continued pressure on the knight while having a move for my queen... even after the check move which will soon follow. I may be able to regain equallity here it looks like, or perhaps better. My move is 10... Qb6.

Many apologies for the long delay, had a crazy week. I didn't get a chance to really look at the board but I didn't want to keep you waiting. Bxf5 is my move.

I been a bit busy myself... a friend got back from vacation and I finally got to play crazyhouse chess for the first time... I suck. He also smashed me in a blindfold game (gave away queen in 12 moves). I ran into someone who is helping coach players - they 2000+ rated standard... I am getting better some just from getting beat badly - lol. Anyway - I will play gxf5 here. You should get the mIRC client from mIRC.com so you can log into a dalnet server and check out my blindfold channel... I might get more users for it soon. It also good for sending files direct peer to peer - so I can send you some of the chess books I have or whatever Smile

Dang caro-kann - lol. I resign. Thanks for the game Smile
I really did a sour job playing refined chess on that one.

Yeah, in both games black had trouble with the openning early on, and in both games it cost him. I would play the tie braker now, but because of the holidays, I will be pretty busy. How about January 2nd or so for the start of the third game? You play white this time.
